  • High Court freezes assets in Dublin hotel fraud case Fraud (alleged misappropriation of payments) · Co. Dublin

A woman who worked at a four-star hotel on Amiens Street in central Dublin is alleged to have generated 152 payments totalling €597,000, purported to be to suppliers or employees, from April 2022. The payments were directed to two Revolut accounts in Lithuania and one in Ireland, and the alleged fraud came to light when a supplier sought payment of €7,800 the hotel believed had already been made. BC McGettigan Limited, the company behind the Address Connolly hotel, brought civil proceedings in the High Court, alleging the employee, Andja Gulic Pejovic, also sent company payroll and procurement data to her husband Dusan Pejovic and created a forged Dubai tenancy agreement. The High Court made urgent orders on 18 October 2024 preventing the couple from dissipating assets below €582,000, with the case scheduled to return to court on Wednesday.
