• File with DPP over threats to kill in Limerick Threats to kill · Co. Limerick

Barbie Kardashian, a 23-year-old woman, made threats to kill her parents and the Governor of Limerick Prison while serving a sentence at Limerick Prison, and issued further threats upon her release in October 2025. She had previously been jailed in 2023 for five and a half years for threatening to rape and kill her mother. Gardai interviewed her in December 2025 in relation to the threats, and a file now sits with the DPP over whether to charge her with threats to kill. Kardashian, who resides in a council-owned house in Co Meath, says she expects to be charged in the coming months.

• Kardashian acquitted of threatening to kill at Limerick prison Threatening to kill or cause serious harm · Co. Limerick

Barbie Kardashian, a 22-year-old woman, was charged with four counts of threatening to kill or cause serious harm to inmate Tegan McGhee and prison officer Róisín Linnane at Limerick Prison in 2023. The alleged threats were made on 25 February 2023 against McGhee and on 25 April, 9 June and 11 June 2023 against Linnane, following a confrontation over complaints about dirty prison showers. Kardashian pleaded not guilty and her trial at Limerick Circuit Criminal Court began in October 2024 after several adjournments. A jury of seven women and five men found her not guilty on three counts and the judge directed a not guilty verdict on the fourth count after a four-day trial.

• Woman under investigation for threats outside Limerick Prison Threats · Co. Limerick

Barbie Kardashian, a 23-year-old woman, was released from Limerick Prison on a Wednesday in early October 2025 and made murderous threats against her parents and the prison Governor, along with threatening remarks towards a female prison officer. The Irish Prison Service issued a formal complaint to Gardaí, who are now investigating the threats. The Governor and the female officer have been offered protection and support. Kardashian, who is living in Dublin, says she expects to be arrested imminently and feels pride rather than remorse for the threats.

• Woman jailed over threats to kill mother at Limerick care unit Threats to torture · Co. Limerick

Barbie Kardashian, a transgender woman aged 21 of no fixed abode, was jailed for five and a half years with the final 12 months suspended for threatening to torture, rape and kill her mother, Maria Luque. The threats were made at Coovagh House, a secure special care unit in Limerick where Kardashian was a resident, on dates in 2020. Gardaí were made aware after staff contacted them, and in May 2022 a jury at Limerick Circuit Court convicted her of seven counts relating to her mother and acquitted her of four counts relating to Michael Mannix. On 16 March 2023 Judge Tom O'Donnell imposed the sentence, backdated to 9 May 2022, and the latest development is the two-year post-release obligations attached to the suspended portion.
