latest first- Man convicted of assault causing harm at Kinnitty pub Assault causing harm · Co. Offaly
Aran Young, 34, admitted assaulting Jack Kinsella, 22, at the Slieve Bloom Bar in Kinnitty, Offaly, on May 1, 2023, punching and kicking him several times and knocking him to the ground. The defence said Young was out with his wife and the younger man had made comments about her, and the court accepted there was an element of provocation. At Tullamore District Court, Judge Andrew Cody ordered Young to pay €1,000 in compensation to the victim. Sentencing was adjourned to February 28 for the payment of further compensation.
