latest first- High Court hears breach of company law action over Ballybunion hotel Breach of company law (derivative action) · Co. Kerry
Yvonne Treacy, a director and 50% shareholder of Combray Limited, claims approximately €1m from the company was used without her consent to purchase and refurbish the Golf Hotel in Ballybunion, County Kerry, which now houses Ukrainian refugees. The monies were allegedly withdrawn over the preceding twelve months in breach of the 2014 Companies Acts, following the couple's separation earlier in 2022. The derivative action is brought against her husband Anton Treacy, Edward Keena, Blackoak Limited and Timbertoes Ltd. The matter came before Mr Justice Brian O'Moore in the High Court on an ex-parte basis in November 2022 and will return later in the month.
