  Anthony Sexton, a 40-year-old mechanic from County Clare, pleaded guilty at Limerick Circuit Court in November 2021 to possession of around 3.5 kilograms of cocaine worth nearly €250,000 for sale or supply. The drugs were seized when gardai intercepted his Audi on the R510 at Raheen, Limerick, on 23 January 2021. He also admitted reckless endangerment, possession of a flick knife, criminal damage to a garda patrol vehicle, and preparation of a drug trafficking offence in County Clare. Judge Tom O'Donnell adjourned sentencing to February following a request for a probation report.
