  Four men were charged with possessing 255 kilograms of cannabis worth an estimated €5.1 million, seized on 28 May 2026 at Carndonagh Road, Donaghmede, Dublin 13. The consignment was imported from Toronto, Canada, hidden among coffee tables, in a controlled delivery operation by the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau and Revenue. The accused are John Sheppard, 61, director of Streamville Construction; Dermot Hogan, 51, company secretary; Anthony Daly, 43, gas fitter; and Jason Gibbons, 27. All four appeared at Dublin District Court on 30 May 2026, where Judge Máire Conneely granted bail with lodgements of €3,000 to €7,000. They are due to appear before Court 2 of the Criminal Courts of Justice, Dublin.
