    On Thursday evening, 31 August 2023, gardaí from the Dublin Crime Response Team searched a house in Drimnagh, Dublin 12, and seized €141,000 in cash, arresting two people. The suspect is Andrzej Slyk, a 38-year-old Polish man described as a courier, and the other person arrested was a woman in her 40s who was released without charge, with a file going to the Director of Public Prosecutions. Mr Slyk was charged under section seven of the Criminal Justice (Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing) Act 2010 with possessing alleged proceeds of criminal conduct, which carries a maximum 14-year sentence on conviction. On Saturday 2 September 2023 he was remanded in custody, with bail of €125,000 set, and his next hearing is on 8 September at Cloverhill District Court.
