Andrius Parfionovas, a 39-year-old Lithuanian man, was arrested on 8 November 2022 at a property in Granard, Co Longford, after approximately €300,000 worth of stolen property was recovered in searches across North Longford, Westmeath and Dublin as part of an investigation into an organised crime group suspected of nationwide thefts. He was charged with ten counts of handling and possession of stolen property, including marine equipment valued at £48,000, a Renault Master Van and BMW M5 car parts, along with additional charges of possession of a Garda uniform and a GPS signal blocker. He was denied bail at Longford District Court in November 2022 and at the High Court in December 2022. The case was sent forward for trial at Longford Circuit Criminal Court in April 2023.
