  Lucan Auto Sales owner Brian Healy, a man, and his salesman Andrius Miliauskas, a man, were sentenced at Dublin District Court for misleading two customers about the crash history of second-hand cars. A 2016 Ford Focus, written off in a March 2023 crash, was sold in June 2023 for €11,500, and an Audi A5, written off in the UK in 2017, was sold in June 2024 for €14,000, both without disclosing their write-off status. The CCPC brought the prosecution after the consumers reported the transactions. Miliauskas, who had a prior 2023 conviction for a similar offence, was sentenced to four months in prison and released on €5,000 bail after lodging an appeal, while Healy was fined €1,500 and ordered to pay €3,567 in costs and €1,994 in compensation.
