  Andreas McKiernan, a 21-year-old man from Gorey, Co Wexford, was stopped at the Electric Picnic in Laois on 3 September 2023 and found to have ten bags of cocaine valued at €700. In October 2024 he admitted having drugs for sale or supply, and the case was adjourned to Portlaoise District Court on 20 January for finalisation. The judge said she would leave him without a conviction if he donates €2,000 to the court poor box by 20 January 2025, and otherwise he will be convicted and fined €3,000 with six months to pay. The latest development is that this condition has been set and the case has not yet been finalised.
