On 15 March 2021, Felix McGrath, 40, of Manorhamilton, became aggressive towards gardaí attending a house in Glenview, Kinlough, Co Leitrim, and was charged with assaulting Garda Andrea Rogers. McGrath was arrested by multiple gardaí and charged with assault on Garda Rogers, a public order offence, and drink driving, among other charges. He pleaded guilty to the assault and public order charges at Ballyshannon District Court, with charges of assault on Garda Sheerin and Garda Carey, failing to comply with directions, and intoxication in a public place withdrawn. In January 2023, he was sentenced to six months in prison suspended for two years, fined €800 on the public order charge, and disqualified from driving for three years on a separate drink-driving charge.
