On 17 November 2025, a 2012 black BMW was involved in a collision at the Clonminch roundabout in Tullamore, Offaly, and Garda Alan Mills found two bald front tyres. Alfred Tsurkan, 30, of Garrymore, Geashill, Tullamore, a bricklayer, said he had bought the car five to six weeks earlier and was driving it to get a full service. He appeared at Tullamore District Court without a solicitor, assisted by an interpreter, and pleaded guilty to two summonses. On 20 October 2026, Judge Andrew Cody fined him €300.
