Gardaí told Naas District Court that Alexandru Rostas, a 46-year-old man, was harassing shoppers in the car park of the Tesco supermarket in Kildare town on 10 November 2023, and that he refused to leave when asked. Gardaí said they had been called to deal with him on 14 previous occasions. Mr Rostas appeared before Judge Desmond Zaidan at Naas District Court on 16 November 2023, where a court-appointed Romanian translator was needed.
