Alan Keating, a 48-year-old man, had 330 images and 791 video files of child abuse in Dublin, and between 1 and 4 April 2017 he shared his password with other users of a site on 10 occasions. Gardaí began their investigation after a tip-off from Swiss authorities, which led to an IP address linked to Keating. Keating pleaded guilty under the Child Trafficking and Pornography Act 1998, and Judge Martin Nolan jailed him for one year from the date of sentencing, as reported on 4 December 2025.
