Aladar Surmaj (55), a man, was involved in an incident outside his home on Moore Street, Kilrush, County Clare, at about 2.50am on 16 May 2022, after drinking at his five-year-old child's birthday party. Gardaí said he used abusive and threatening language towards them. Surmaj pleaded guilty to two public order offences at Kilrush District Court. On 21 April 2023, the Clare Echo reported that the judge imposed combined fines of €200 in total.
