  On 15 January 2023, an incident at Edenvale, Ennis, resulted in charges of careless driving causing serious bodily harm to Ajet Haziri and unlawful possession of cannabis for sale or supply valued at €13,000 or more. Odhran O'Brien, 32, of Clarecastle, was charged with both offences. His trial at Ennis Circuit Court was adjourned on 26 February 2026 following a successful application by defence counsel. The case was adjourned to 5 March for a call over of cases, and a legal aid certificate was extended to cover two defence reports.
