  • Man jailed for life over murder of eight-year-old in New Ross Murder · Co. Wexford

    man Mohammed Al Shaker Al Tamimi stabbed his daughter Malika Al Kattib, aged eight, to death and stabbed her mother Aisha Noor Al Kattib multiple times at their family home in New Ross, Co. Wexford, in December 2024. The attack began over a row about a phone. Aisha survived with injuries to her neck, chest, shoulder and head. Al Tamimi was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder and an additional 10 years for the attempted murder of Aisha. He had previous UK convictions for attempted rape and battery.
