Emma O'Grady, 41, and Áine Ní Threinír, 35, both women from Co Galway, are alleged to have shouted anti-war slogans and worn anti-war T-shirts on the seventh green at Trump Doonbeg golf course on Saturday 12 September 2026 during the Amgen Irish Open, while US President Donald Trump's Marine One was preparing to land. The two were arrested at 3.05pm and charged under Section 6 of the Criminal Justice (Public Order) Act. They appeared at a special sitting of Ennis District Court that evening, where bail was granted on conditions to stay away from the golf resort and be of good behaviour. At Kilrush District Court on 20 October 2026, both stated they will contest the charges, and the case was adjourned to 10 November 2026 for Garda disclosure.
