  Adrian Kelly, a 64-year-old man from Elfeet, Newtowncashel, Longford, was charged with engaging in threatening and abusive behaviour after an incident at AIB bank on Main Street, Longford. At 3:20pm, Kelly was told he could not enter the bank without a mask, left, and returned to attempt to bypass the queue being operated by a security guard under Covid regulations. His solicitor said Kelly was baling silage and in a rush to buy bale wrap before the co-op closed. At his court hearing, the judge directed that if Kelly paid €150 to the court poor box he could avoid a criminal conviction.
