Adrian Conroy, a 51-year-old man, was found in possession of a Stanley blade on Dublin Road in Naas on 30 August 2021. He was charged under the Firearms and Offences Weapons Act and appeared before Naas District Court on 6 July 2022, where he admitted the charge. His solicitor told the court he suffered from chronic alcoholism and was homeless, with his address given as the Fr Peter McVerry homeless shelter. Judge Jude Cephas Power placed him on a three-year probation bond, with the matter to be dismissed if he does not reoffend.
