On 16 February 2021, Ademola Oladeji and Natalie Jordan were stopped at an Operation Fanacht checkpoint at Archersrath, Kilkenny. Oladeji, who said he was going to see his children, refused to get out of the car, which was registered to Jordan, and she told the garda he was intimidating her because of his height. Both denied the charges but were convicted by Judge Geraldine Carthy in June 2022 of obstructing a garda and using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour. Each was fined €300 for the behaviour charge and €500 for obstructing a garda.
