A 21-year-old man was killed in a single-vehicle collision on the N59 in the townland of Corcullen, Moycullen, Co. Galway, shortly after 2:30am on Sunday 31 October 2021. The victim, Adam Galvin, a man from Limerick who was in his final year of study at TUS, was the sole occupant of the car and was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was taken to University Hospital Galway for a post-mortem, and Garda forensic collision investigators carried out an examination at the scene. Gardaí appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage from road users on the N59 between 2:00am and 2:30am. The victim was named on 2 November 2021, and the case remains under investigation.
