  Abdul Ahmead El Tayeb, a 48-year-old Sudanese man and father of three who has lived in England since 2017, was first arrested on 27 March 2023 after getting past security in Terminal 2 at Dublin Airport onto an Aer Lingus flight to Birmingham without a ticket, passport or boarding pass. He was fined €700 for trespass and an immigration offence of failing to produce a passport at his first court appearance on 28 March. He was arrested again at arrivals in Terminal 1 at 11.15am on 30 March and charged with the same offences. He pleaded guilty at Dublin District Court and was given a fully suspended eight-week sentence on condition he cooperates with immigration authorities, does not resist deportation, and does not return to Ireland for two years.
