latest first- Sentencing adjourned for Donegal man over nightclub assault causing harm Assault causing harm · Co. Donegal
In the early hours of 10 March 2019, Eunan Maguire, a 25-year-old construction worker from Glenview, Ardara, knocked Aaron Pearson and Aaron Bradley to the ground with two single punches on the dance floor of Sky Nightclub in Donegal town, and both men were treated in hospital. Pearson suffered a fractured jaw that required a metal plate and screws, and Bradley lost wages for two months. Donegal town gardaí contacted Maguire in July 2023 after viewing CCTV footage of the assault. Maguire pleaded guilty at Donegal Circuit Court to assault causing harm to both men, and Judge John Aylmer adjourned the case to consider sentence, so sentencing is the latest development.
