  Aaron Coughlin, 35, a man from Kinlough, Leitrim, pleaded guilty at Ballyshannon District Court to serving alcohol to a 17-year-old girl at the Bullfrog Bar, East Port, Ballyshannon, on 12 December 2020. The girl showed a passport in another person's name, 11 years older, with a photo bearing no likeness to her, and was served Heineken, Tequila Rose and Malibu by a barmaid who checked the date of birth but not the photo. The defendant had not seen the young woman and her friend before garda detection. Judge Sandra Murphy adjourned the case to 21 October 2022 for finalisation. Separately, a man in his 50s was returned for trial at Letterkenny District Court on five counts of sexual assault, with reporting restrictions imposed.
