Woman pleads guilty after Rottweiler attacks jogger on Quigley's Point Greenway

On 16 June 2024, a Rottweiler owned by Suitlana Paschchenko, a 47-year-old Ukrainian woman, attacked a jogger on the Quigley's Point Greenway in Donegal, causing leg injuries. A warrant was obtained to seize the dog, which is held by Donegal County Council, and the matter was referred to the DPP. On 21 May 2025 Paschchenko admitted three dog control offences at Carndonagh District Court, and the case was adjourned without sentence. The latest development is that the case was adjourned for six months to 18 November because of a backlog in probation service reports, with a victim impact statement also ordered before sentencing.
