Between 1 April 2020 and 27 February 2021, a woman sent sexual videos and images of her eight-year-old daughter to a man via Facebook Messenger, and 961 videos were recovered from her phone. She was charged with causing a child to watch sexual activity and with sexual exploitation of a child, and entered guilty pleas to the first two counts in May 2023 and October 2023. In late January 2025, Judge Kenneth Connolly at Longford Circuit Court imposed three years in prison on count one, suspended for five years.
