At approximately 11:30pm on Monday 13 March 2023, Gardaí attached to the Tallaght Divisional Detective Unit and the District Drugs Unit searched a residential property in the Christchurch area of Dublin 8 as part of Operation Tara. They seized 800g of suspected diamorphine with an estimated value of €113,000, 250g of suspected cocaine with an estimated value of €17,500, and €39,000 in cash. A woman in her early 50s was arrested at the scene and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at Tallaght Garda Station. She has since been charged and is scheduled to appear before Tallaght District Court on Tuesday 14 March 2023. The suspected drugs have been sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis and investigations are ongoing.
