Gardaí are investigating a firearms incident in which a number of shots were reported fired on the grounds of a residence on the Lough Mask Road, Ballinrobe, County Mayo, on Sunday 21 April 2024. Gardaí received reports at approximately 10:45pm, and no injuries were reported. The scene was preserved and a technical examination was carried out. On 22 April 2024 Gardaí issued a press release appealing for witnesses, for anyone in the Ballinrobe area between 9pm and 11:30pm, for anyone who saw a motorbike, and for road users with camera or dash-cam footage.
