Ireland Van thefts at Intel Leixlip and Maynooth University believed linked
On Friday 21 March 2025, a white transit van was broken into and tools were stolen at Intel in Leixlip, and an attempt to break into a second vehicle there failed, causing criminal damage to it. Between 12pm and 12.45pm the same day, a white transit van was broken into at Maynooth University and a tool bag was stolen, though a garda spokesperson placed that theft on the morning of the 21st. Gardaí believe the two thefts may be linked, that a dark-coloured vehicle with three people was involved at Intel, and they are reviewing CCTV from both sites.
