On 16 July 2025, Gardaí stopped a vehicle in the Rathcoole/Citywest areas of Dublin at approximately 3.45am and searched the male driver, in his 20s, and the vehicle under the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977, seizing cannabis with an estimated street value of €10,000. Further searches at three residential properties yielded cannabis, cocaine, crack cocaine and drug-related paraphernalia with an estimated street value of €705,000, bringing the total to €715,000. A female in her 20s was arrested during one of the property searches. The male was charged and due to appear before Blanchardstown District Court on 17 July 2025, while the female was released without charge with a file to be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions. Gardaí said investigations are ongoing.
