Tractor overtake of cyclist on rural Kilkenny road before court

On 25 May 2023, a tractor pulling a trailer overtook a cyclist very closely on the R448 road from Ballyhale to Ballyanne in County Kilkenny, causing him great concern and worry. Eddie Glass, a man from Grangemore Hill, Kildare, was charged under the road traffic act after a fixed charge penalty issued in the case was not paid. Mr Glass appeared before Kilkenny District Court, where he said he was not aware he had done anything wrong until three months later.
