Three men convicted of murdering gunman Tristan Sherry in Blanchardstown restaurant

On Christmas Eve 2023, gunmen entered Browne's Steakhouse in Blanchardstown, Dublin, where about 30 people had gathered for a Christmas party, and shot Irish gangland figure Jason Hennessy Snr, who died in hospital two weeks later. Tristan Sherry, a man in his 20s and one of the suspected gunmen, was beaten to death at the scene by a group that included Hennessy's 21-year-old son Brandon Hennessy. On 17 February 2025, a three-judge Special Criminal Court found men Michael Andrecut (23), David Amah (19, aged 17 at the time) and Noah Musueni (18) guilty of Sherry's murder, and man Brandon Hennessy, man Jonas Kabangu (19) and man Diarmuid O'Brien (18) guilty of violent disorder, dismissing defence provocation arguments. Sentencing is set for 7 April 2025, and Musueni was ordered into custody from bail.
