Suspect arrested in Spain over 2019 murder of Hamid Sanambar in Dublin

Hamid Sanambar, an Iranian person aged 41, was shot dead on 28 May 2019 outside Sean Little's home in Coolock, north Dublin, during Sanambar's wake. Gardaí believe the killing was revenge for Little's murder a week earlier. The Director of Public Prosecutions has ordered that an Irish man in his 30s be charged with murder over Sanambar's death. Spanish police arrested that man on the Costa del Sol, reported on 7 July 2024, on foot of a European Arrest Warrant. He is in custody in Spain ahead of an extradition hearing, and no one has yet been charged in Ireland.
