Case No. 7245Murder

Serial killer Yousef Palani to be segregated from other prisoners

Yousef Palani, a 23-year-old man, was caged for life for murdering Michael Snee and Aidan Moffat in April 2022. Palani was arrested at gunpoint at his family home in the early hours of 13 April 2022, and a five-day garda search found around €357,000 in cash there. He was also sentenced for an attack on Anthony Burke that left Burke blind in one eye. On 29 October 2023, reports said Palani will be segregated from other prisoners as too dangerous to mix and will be moved from Mountjoy prison in Dublin to the Midlands prison after a medical assessment.
