Offaly man warned of 12-month jail term over suspended sentence
Damian Gilmore, 45, of Bridge Street, Kilcormac, Co Offaly, was summonsed for driving without insurance at Ballincur, Kinnitty, on 1 June 2024. In October 2024 he was sentenced to six months in prison and disqualified from driving for 10 years for road traffic offences committed on 12 July 2024, and he pleaded guilty to charges of dangerous driving and having no insurance at Ballymooney, Ballinagar. At Tullamore District Court on 27 January 2025, his solicitor entered a plea to the Ballincur insurance offence, and the judge warned he could face 12 months back in custody if he offends again. The judge adjourned his suspended 2023 cannabis sentence and the penalty for the insurance offence to 23 July for a probation report.
