Jordan Davis, a 22-year-old man (reports give his age as 23), was shot dead while pushing his four-month-old son in a pram in a laneway beside a national school in Darndale, Dublin, on or about 22 May 2019. He suffered three gunshot wounds, including one to the head, from a gunman on a bike. Robert Redmond, a 35-year-old man with 99 previous convictions, was originally charged with murder but pleaded guilty to conspiracy to murder at the Central Criminal Court in April 2024. He was sentenced on 16 May 2024 to 19 years to run alongside his existing life sentence. Wayne Cooney was jailed for life in 2022 for the murder of Davis.
