Man injured in bottle attack on Parkwest Avenue, Dublin 12

At about 4.50pm on Wednesday 19 April 2023, a man wearing a baseball cap attacked another man on the footpath on Parkwest Avenue in Dublin 12, in view of passing motorists. The attacker appears to have struck the second man with a broken glass bottle, then kicked him and kneed him in the face, leaving blood on the side of his face. One of the men received medical treatment for minor injuries. Gardaí described the incident as a public order incident and said investigations are ongoing; the Irish Mirror published a video of the attack on 20 April 2023, and that report noted no arrest or charge.
