Ireland Man and woman charged over Dublin North burglaries
Between Friday 5 and Saturday 6 January 2024, a number of burglaries took place in Dublin North. At about 6pm on Saturday 6 January, gardaí were alerted to a resident in Portmarnock who had disturbed a man on their property. Gardaí stopped a vehicle nearby carrying a man in his 30s and a woman in her late 20s, and found a large quantity of property stolen from the Portmarnock burglary along with property linked to other North Dublin burglaries. Both were arrested at the scene, detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984, and later charged in relation to the burglaries. They are due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Monday 8 January 2024 at 10.30am, and investigations are ongoing.
