Ireland Limerick man jailed for three years over sexual acts with 14-year-old girl
In July 2020 Joseph Kiely, then aged 35, met a 14-year-old girl through Snapchat and gave her cigarettes and money in return for sex acts at hotels in Limerick on July 8 and July 9, 2020. The girl gave her mother a full account on July 11, 2020, and her mother reported the matter to gardaí, who took a statement from the girl and two voluntary interviews with Kiely. Kiely, of Cosgrave Park, Moyross, Limerick, pleaded guilty at Limerick Circuit Criminal Court to two counts of defilement of a child under 17.
