Kilkenny motorist fined €300 for using mobile phone while driving

On 9 October 2024 at 11.41am, gardaí observed Jason Stokes, a 43-year-old man, using a mobile phone while driving a Renault van on the Dublin Road, Leggetsrath, Kilkenny. Garda Jennifer Martin said he appeared to be scrolling, and after he was stopped he told gardaí he would not pay a traffic fine.
