John Moynihan, 62, of Macroom, Co Cork, pleaded guilty at Cork District Court on 29 November 2024 to dangerous driving causing the death of André Ladeiro, 8, who was struck by a car while cycling at a pedestrian crossing on Cork Road, Carrigaline, on 12 August 2023. He is to be sentenced at Cork Circuit Criminal Court on 4 February 2025.
