Hansard couple settle €450,000 civil claim over unprovoked assault at Tallaght University Hospital

Joseph Hansard, 82, and Patricia Hansard, 87, settled their civil action against Tallaght University Hospital for €450,000 after Mr Hansard was beaten over the head with a piece of metal in the emergency department on 12 March 2022. Mr Justice Paul Coffey approved the settlement, which was without admission of liability.
