Gardaí called to row at Tullamore pub

On Thursday 26 October 2023, shortly before 10pm, gardaí were called to a row involving up to a dozen people on the footpath outside the Omiya Bar on Patrick Street in Tullamore, County Offaly. Gardaí attended with what one witness said was at least three patrol cars, and as many as half a dozen gardaí were gathered at the scene. At least one young man was seen being put in a car and taken to the nearby garda station, but the articles do not say whether he is the suspect, who is described only as a man. No arrest or charge is reported, and after a short period calm appeared to be restored, which is the latest development reported.
