Gardaí appeal for witnesses over attempted car thefts across Munster
On the night of 10 April 2024 a blue Toyota Aqua with a Clare registration was stolen in Ennis. At around 4.30pm on 12 April 2024 its occupants, who were wearing balaclavas, travelled to Tipperary Town and attempted to steal three cars: a silver Toyota Aqua at Rosanna Close, a black Toyota Vitz outside a supermarket, and a silver Toyota Aqua at An Duiche at about 5pm, but none of the attempts succeeded. Gardaí say the driver put the public and gardaí at risk, attempts to stop the car and arrest the occupants failed, and the car was later abandoned at St Laurence's Park in Garryowen, Limerick. No arrest or charge is reported, and the latest development is a garda appeal for witnesses who may have encountered the car, reported on 30 April 2024.
