On 13 August 2025, Gardaí and Revenue seized approximately 6 kilograms of herbal cannabis and, in a follow-up search, a further 1.5 kilograms of cannabis and about 250 grams of suspected cocaine from a residential property in County Wexford, with a combined estimated value of €167,500. Two men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were arrested in connection with the operation. They are detained at a Garda station in the Southeastern Region under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996. Investigations are ongoing.
