Dessie Fox, a 47-year-old bookmaker from Dungannon, Co Tyrone, was fatally shot at Healy's Bridge in Prosperous, Co Kildare on 30 September 1990 while driving to a race meeting at the Curragh. On the 35th anniversary of the murder, 30 September 2025, An Garda Síochána issued a fresh appeal for information on the planning of the robbery and the identity of those responsible.
