Dublin teenager jailed for 18 months over assaults on partner
Cameron Curtis (19) of Finglas Road, Finglas, and his partner Alannah Corrigan (20), a woman, were staying overnight at The Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire on July 19th, 2022, when the first assault took place. The Dublin Circuit Criminal Court heard of nine assaults over two months in summer 2022, including repeated assaults and false imprisonment on August 12th, 13th, 14th and 16th at Binary Hub, Bonham Street, Dublin 8, and Gardaí arrested Curtis after Ms Corrigan raised the alarm. Curtis pleaded guilty to seven counts of assault causing harm and one count of false imprisonment, and the sentence was backdated to September 19th, 2022 to account for time he had spent in custody. In July 2023 he was sentenced to two years and six months in prison with the final 12 months suspended, so 18 months to serve.
