David Gordon, 21, of Killasolan, Mountbellew, Ballinasloe, County Galway, pleaded guilty at Longford District Court to unauthorised taking of a vehicle and theft of diesel after driving his girlfriend's father's grey Honda Civic to Macken's Service Station, Granard, on 14 May 2023 and leaving without paying for €40.70 of fuel. He was sentenced to five months in prison, suspended for two years, with a condition not to drive for 24 months.
