Court of Appeal increases manslaughter sentence for Loughlinstown man after DPP appeal

Ms Justice Mary Ellen Ring originally sentenced him to seven and a half years with 18 months suspended, which the DPP appealed as unduly lenient. On 1 March 2024 the Court of Appeal increased the sentence to six years and nine months with no part suspended.
